Tony Pitts (Whoooo)

Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself?

I am Tony Pitts and I am 57 years old. I am married to Glenda. We have 2 sons, Blake and Timothy. Daughters in law Roz and Becky.Grandchildren are Landen , Lawton,Mae Lee and Ben.I am a retired State Trooper and I work now at Seneca High School.. 

When did you start here at Proverb? 
July of 2013

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally, or both since beginning at Proverb? 

I am stronger now than I have ever been.I continue to get stronger.

What's Next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future? 

To continue on a steady schedule of working out.The challenge is always there.I found out you can always do more than even your mind says you can.

What is your Favorite Lift or Movement? 

Bench Press

When I am not crushing weights, my favorite thing to do is? 

I like spending time with my family and my LifePoint Church family. I like watching all sports,especially football.

Go on a Alaska Cruise

Favorite "application of fitness" outside the gym is... 
Walking and playing ball with my grandchildren

Favorite part of the gym is... 
Working out with my Proverb family.. The bond we have is special! 


Cyndi Carrizales

Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself?

I am a wife and mother of two grown up kids that live in Chicago. I am a big Georgia Tech fan, I know right. My husband and I live on lake Hartwell and love to go boating and enjoy the lake. I am the Executive director at Seneca Amimal Hospital. So everyone please bring your pets to see us. 

When did you start here at Proverb? 
I believe it has been 4 years this pass July. I still thank Dr Ashley Brown for convincing me to try it out. I have been hooked ever since.

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally, or both since beginning at Proverb? 
Still going!!! Not quitting. Realizing that I am in the best health physically and mentally because of Proverb!! 

What's Next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future? 
Obtaining a few of my goals! They keep changing which is great. 

What is your Favorite Lift or Movement? 
Deadlift by far!! There is a joke at my house that I need to work up to my husbands weight so I can throw him over the boat to be fish bait after I kill him. No evidence!!! And he has helped by loosing weight!! He better not make me mad!! Lol

When I am not crushing weights, my favorite thing to do is? 
Enjoy the lake, tailgating at Ga Tech and reading.

I have always wanted to.... 
Travel to exotic places and explore Alaska.

Favorite "application of fitness" outside the gym is... 
Yard work. We have 2 acres, there is always things to do

Favorite part of the gym is... 
The People!!! And the coaches, yes they are people too!!

Brenda Schlabach

Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself?

I'm originally from Ohio . Moved to South Carolina 10 years ago. Loving the southern life . I'm not your normally girly girl . Hate dressing up . Would rather get dirty working outside in the garden or installing garage doors . I havebeen involved in some kind of fitness for many years and always thought maybe one day I could do Crossfit . After moving to South Carolina I started road cycling which I love but there has always been this dream of mine to do Crossfit.
 

When did you start here at Proverb? 
I was introduced to Proverb through a Facebook friend in 2013 .
 

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally, or both since beginning at Proverb? 
 To overcome the mental fear of of not being good enough . I was worried I couldn't do Crossfit . People are watching me and if I can't do what she's doing then I failed .It's not what others do, its what I can do .
 

What's Next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future? 
To keep on doing what I'm doing and hope to inspire more people to exercise and eat healthy.
 

What is your Favorite Lift or Movement? 
My #1 is deadlift
 

When I am not crushing weights, my favorite thing to do is? 
Being out on the lake , wake-boarding and hanging out with my friends .
 

I have always wanted to.... 
I guess a dream of mine has always been to be a fitness trainer not for adults but for overweight kids .My heart goes out to those kids and would love to one day make a difference in there lives.
 

Favorite "application of fitness" outside the gym is... 
Riding my bicycle.
 

Favorite part of the gym is... 
I love my Proverb family and each and every one of the coaches. Y'all have made a big difference in my life. Thank you


.Bryan and Lindsay Graham 

Who are you? Tell us a little about yourself?
Bryan and Lindsay Graham. We have been married for 12 years. We have two fur babies that we adore. We both work full time and go to CFP most evenings. We love our 6:30 bunch and WODing to Tootsie roll radio.

When did you start here at Proverb? 
Bryan started CFP March of 2013 Lindsay started the very next month.

What are you most proud of, physically, mentally, or both since beginning at Proverb? 
We are both proud of becoming stronger and more confident with our lifting. We both enjoy hitting PRs.

What's Next? What are you excited about pursuing here in the future? 
Continuing to stay fit and enjoy working out together.

What is your Favorite Lift or Movement? 
Lindsay likes Front Squats
Bryan likes Muscle Ups

When I am not crushing weights, my favorite thing to do is? 
Hanging out and having fun with people from the gym.

Nina Elliott

Nina is a physical therapist assistant at Oconee Memorial Hospital. She lives in Mountain Rest on a farm with her 3 dogs and enjoys gardening and epic outdoor adventures. Coming from an endurance sport background, she wanted more strength training and high intensity workouts. After visiting a friend's box, she was totally hooked on Crossfit. "I couldn't ask for a better box than Proverb, there's such a great sense of comraderie." Nina has a new goal of qualifying for the masters games in 2021.
